New ETF: Japanese Companies Focussed on Sustainability



A new iShares equity index ETF offers exposure to Japanese companies with hight ESG ratings.
7 March 2017. FRANKFURT (Börse Frankfurt). iShares expands the ETF offering on Xetra and Frankfurt Floor.

The iShares MSCI Japan SRI UCITS ETF enables investors to participate in the performance of Japanese stock corporations with a high sustainability rating. The index only contains companies that have a particularly high ESG rating in the fields of environmental protection, social responsibility and governance. It excludes companies that produce, amongst others, weapons, nuclear power or tobacco.

The product offering on Xetra currently comprises a total of 1,144 exchange traded funds. This selection, together with an average monthly trading volume of around €15 billion, makes Xetra Europe’s leading trading venue for ETFs.
